Valentine’s Day in Burnley

Love is in the air in Burnley, and not just ‘cause we’re smashing with the footie recently. We’re only a few short weeks away from Valentine’s Day, the most romantic day of the year – and the best way to show your other half how much you appreciate them is, of course, a trip to Burnley. We’ve got everything you need, after all.

Sweet Treats

We couldn’t get through an article of our favourite sweet treats in Burnley without mentioning Bella’s Bakes, could we? Our fave baker is offering personalised cupcake boxes – some of them even come with chocolate dipped strawberries and pink prosecco!

If that doesn’t float your boat, then you can’t go wrong with Chocstop. With every desert imaginable on the menu, you’re spoilt for choice – you can even share a milkshake with your date. There’s nowt cuter than that.

Fancy Food

What could be more romantic than sharing some seriously good Spanish scran with your soulmate? Astoria specialises in Mediterranean tapas and pizza, mixing Spanish vibrance with Italian indulgence. You can share plates with your loved one or keep them all to yourself – let’s face it, it’s always the latter…

For those of you who fancy something – well, fancier, make the trip down to Bertram’s restaurant and indulge in their special valentine’s day menu which includes FOUR courses. That’s right – four – all of which are equally delicious. If you’re feeling extra fly then why not spend a night at Crow Wood and take advantage of their award-winning spa facilities?

What to do

RuPaul’s Drag Race will be back on our screen at the end of Feb, but if you and your other half can’t wait until then, Burnley’s resident drag queen Eltariel Avleorn is hosting a ‘night of giggles’ at the newly opened Gallery at Creative Arts. If you’ve seen Eltariel perform, you’ll know she’s fierce, she’s funny and the event is free (but donations are encouraged). What more could you want?

Not your thing? No worries. Reel Cinema in Burnley is your go-to for the latest flicks. Meal out and a movie is always a classic date, isn’t it? Plus, you’re bound to impress if your film is being shown in the VIP screen – they’ve got recliners in there!

February 14th in Burnley

Whether you’re all loved up or you’re in the Lonely-Hearts Club this year, there’s loads to take advantage of in town this February. You could even postpone Valentine’s Day until 15th February and spend it cuddled up watching Burnley vs Southampton.
