Over the past few years, we’ve seen multiple desert cafes pop-up around Burnley. Here’s five places to visit to satisfy your sweet tooth this December…
Not far from UCLan’s Victoria Mill, ‘W4D?’ is a modern-looking desert cafe with super friendly staff. Head over to their Facebook page – they’ve got some absolutely mouth-watering pictures that are certain to get you craving their menu.
The new kid on the block, Craves is located on Briercliffe Road. It has a huge varied menu and we’ve heard some amazing things about their special milkshakes. Make sure you give this place a try and let us know what it’s like!
Also a bit of a newcomer, Sprinkles is located on Colne Road and has a huge selection of ice creams. We enjoy their Juice Bubble Drinks (basically smoothies with little balls of juice at the bottom) but we were pleasantly surprised to find falooda on their menu, a traditional Indian desert made from rose syrup & milk with kulfi ice cream topped with thin vermicelli noodles.
Chocstop is a longstanding desert venue right next to the Manchester Road train station. They’ve made a name for themselves in Burnley over the years and it’s no wonder, their deserts are the definition of delicious.
This place is perfect for a busy day of shopping in Charter Walk as it is located right in the heart of the town centre. Quick Crepes specialises in crepes but also have a great savoury selection on their menu.
